Cover Design

People in top government always require top talents to work with. Looking for SC was the port of call for the team working on the book “A Reed Made Flint” for Hon. Yakubu Dogara the Speaker of the 8th Assembly of the Nigerian House of Representatives. After many reviews of various designs and concepts by the team, one of the memebers of the committee sent a word out that he needed a really creative concept created for the book and reached out to our CEO Badejo Ademola.

The call was short and brief “can you come up with a creative concept for honourable’s book?” the simple response was “YES” and we began discussing ideas and the day for the photoshoot for a work that will benchmark global standards.

Various Concepts developed

A book giving the detailed story of the life of Yakubu Dogara reflects a deeply humble beginning of the patriot. A man from the Za tribe who live in small village in the then Gongola state of Nigeria has grown to become an elder statesman and leader of many.

A five hour long photo session with various change of cloths and poses left us with well over 200 photos which we streamlined to a narrow 15, selecting from the set was more difficult than designing the cover itself and we delivered a cover design that was selected and loved by all team members and the principal himself.

We are so glad to be part of projects that project the talents of the African youth and better positioning us for bigger opportunities. We love good design at SC and have built a brand around this single truth “good design is good business”
